In 1796, George Stiggens, a presidential agent, wrote to President George Washington describing the beauty of the cave, making Majestic Caverns the first cavern on record in the United States.

In addition to being the first cavern on record, Majestic Caverns is also noted for having one of the largest accumulations of onyx-marble stalagmites and stalactites in the world.

The caverns have regular tours every hour that allow guests to learn about caverns in general and about the history of this beautiful subterranean wonder.

This is the ideal place to visit regardless of the season 60 degrees year round making it the perfect escape from the heat and an excellent warm temperature for the winter!

Each guided tour is nearly an hour and includes a walk through the amazing signature Healing-All Cathedral room, the onyx room, a back passageway to a natural waterfall, and a top rated underground laser light and water show. This Caverns is one of the largest accumulations of gem stone quality onyx in North America, and has beautiful formations, so guests are encouraged to take photos during the adventure in this subterranean wonderland.
