Big Surf Water-Park is the ultimate Lake Of The Ozarks family destination. The water-park has 5 different water-slides each one varying in length and and thrill factor.

Big Surf has something for any age, for any amount of time, Big Surf has a variety of rides and attractions! The only recommendation is that you are ready to have fun!

My personal favorite is the lazy river! The lazy river winds through about half of the park! It takes about five minutes to float completely around the river.

Aside from the water-slides and the incredible lazy river is a huge Wave Pool. The 375,000-gallon pool generates waves up to three feet tall. Relax in the shallow area or grab a tube and hit the deeper end to ride the tides every 10 minutes.

Splash Island is a zero-entry pool suited for younger children – with water levels ranging from just six to 18 inches – that includes a water teeter-totter, bikes, squirting animals, tipping toucans, a couple mini-slides and lots and lots of room to splash and play!

After you work up an appetite you can head over to the Surfside Grill, for a wide variety of food and drink options. The menu ranges from pizza and hamburgers, to tenderloins and garden salads. They also have ice cream, and nachos as well as a nice selection of beverages!

Nestled on the banks of the Shell Rock River, within acres of picturesque land, is Aqua Log Cabin Retreat, a countryside hideaway, this dwelling is the perfect base for a large gathering with family and friends. Inside, the property is filled with character. The central log staircase greets you at the front door. Beyond this relax in the large living room with a vaulted ceiling overlooking the river. Rest on one of the large sofas and enjoy the river view. The open plan leads to a large dining room and onto the kitchen area.

There is a large dining room table and also a raised seated area in the kitchen with bar stools. French doors from the dining room lead out onto a patio deck. The kitchen is filled with the necessities needed to cook up a meal. There is also a coffee machine to quench your caffeine cravings over a morning catch-up at the spacious dining table while enjoying the river view.

There is also a washing machine and dryer facilities. Also, downstairs is a half bathroom with a unique Thomas Crapper sink and overhead toilet. Beyond this is a large master bedroom with built-in closets a roomy shower an en-suite roomy shower and bath.

The beautiful carpeted staircase with carpet rods leads you up to marvelous bedrooms that lead you across the property in separate sections. There are four bedrooms, two with KING size beds and two more with Queen size mattresses. The property can comfortably accommodate up to 8 adults.

On the back deck you can sit and relax overlooking the Shell Rock River, the eck is large with plenty of room to gather. There is also a boat dock behind the property, feel free to bring your boat and anchor to your dock during your stay.

Close by is a nine-hole golf course and a slipway to put your boat in. Go fishing on the Shellrock River only a few steps away from the house or tour the Waterloo John Deere Factory (one hour away), you can also shop the Mall of America (two and a half hours away), or visit the setting of where world-famous hymn “Little Brown Church in the Dale” was penned (half-hour), Hunt for fossils at the Rockford Prairie Park (15 minutes’ drive).

Aqua Log Cabin Resort is an extravagant dwelling with so much to do during your exciting trip to the Iowa countryside. The property also has its own sand beach, and is a great place to swim with a sandbar located near the property. Free firewood and outdoor fire pit are provided along with a propane gas grill. If that wasn’t enough there is also a nice hot-tub perfect for relaxing at the end of a long day.
