Camping is an incredibly popular activity and,  every year thousands of people, pack up their tents and spend the night under the stars.  There’s not much better than sitting next to a campfire, with friends and family.  Camping becomes even more memorable when you pitch your tent beside a beautiful mountain, or next to a meandering stream.  But, if your looking for an unforgettable camping experience, you can take your tent underground. Cumberland Caverns is located at 1437 Cumberland Caverns Road in McMinnville Tennessee, and more information can be found by clicking here.

This underground camping experience takes you deep into  Cumberland Caverns and offers an incredible adventure!

This unique trip provides a great camping experience both inside and outside the cave.

These overnight adventures range in price from $47 to $65 per person.  The price includes a guided tour and breakfast.

If you book two nights in a row you get an experience underneath the stars and the ground, topped off with a daily walking tour, breakfast, bonfire meals and the Rocky Topper Adventure Tour.

The cave maintains a consistent year round temperature of 56 degrees, so you won’t be to hot or cold.

There are more than a dozen different tour options available, and daily tours depart every hour between 9 and 5.

Guided tours last 90 minutes, and the guides do an excellent job detailing the history of the cave.

The more adventurous members of your group may enjoy one of the fantastic adventure tours, available daily by reservation only.  My personal favorite is Higgenbotham’s Revenge.  These tours last about 3.5 to 4 hours and take you into sections of the cave very few have every explored.
