The campground is surrounded by the Ouachita National Forest, with over 1000 feet of river frontage on the clear and clean waters of the Ouachita River. Ouachita River Haven is truly deep in nature. This is one of the most beautiful an scenic campgrounds you will find!
Ouachita River Haven offers a variety of accommodations for your vacation. From primitive campsites, to a honeymoon cabin with hot tub ..they have a place for you! Plus the campground is dog-friendly! This is the only campground directly on the upper Ouachita River!
Looking for a different way to stay? Tucked away in this lush campground,is the 18 foot Taysha tipi providing privacy and serenity while still enjoying a camping experience in nature. Enjoy s’mores under the stars after a day on the river by your private fire pit. The tipi comes from Nomadic Tipi Makers, famous for their tipis featured in the film “Dances with Wolves”.
Ouachita River Haven is a great place to stay and play! Kayaks, canoes, and river tube rentals are available. Take a 4 mile trip or a 4 day trip! You decide how long you want to be on the river!
