The #1 ranked Penn State Lions return to the mat in University Park Pennsylvania, on Friday February 7th at 6 pm against Michigan. The dual features 15 ranked wrestlers, with 7  head to head ranked matches, and one top ten bout!

After squeaking out a victory against Iowa over the weekend, Penn State remains undefeated and will bring a loaded team to the mat against The 5-4 Michigan Wolverines! You can catch the dual live on the Big Ten Network.

Don’t Miss:  197 and 141 should both be competitive and entertaining bouts. These teams really don’t care for each other so there is always potential for some heated wrestling at any weight. Sergio Lemley has the potential to pull an upset just like he did against Real Woods a year ago, and Barr has all the tools to defeat Cardenas if he is able to put everything together.

Keys To Victory: Penn State just needs to win the matches they are favored to win, nothing more. For Michigan, I don’t see a realistic path to victory.

125 Lilledahl, Luke #9 vs  Christian Tanefeu

133 #10 Davis, Braeden vs Nolan Wertanen

141 #3 Bartlett, Beau vs Sergio Lemley #11

149 #3 Van Ness, Shayne vs Dylan Gilcher or Cam Catrabone

157 #3 Tyler Kasak vs Chase Saldate #16

165#1  Mesenbrink, Mitchell vs Beau Montanona #14

174  #2 Haines, Levi vs  Joseph Walker #32

184 #1 Starocci, Carter vs Jaden Bullock #31

197 #4 Barr, Josh vs Jacob Cardenas #2

285 #2 Kerkvliet, Greg vs  Josh Heindselman #11

Conclusion: This is one of the best Penn State Teams I have ever seen, they have no weak links in the lineup, we could be seeing 10 All-Americans on this team, with who knows how many National Champions. In this dual I see Penn State winning 9 of the 10 bouts and claiming a 39-3 victory.  Jacob Cardenas is the only one I see picking up a win for Michigan. Even with the one sided score, it should still be an exciting night of wrestling.
