The 1-2 Iowa State Cyclones return to the mat on Sunday December 15th against North Dakota State. Iowa State is currently the 11th ranked team in the country, while North Dakota is not ranked.. The dual features 10 ranked wrestlers, with 1 head to head ranked bout.

History:

Iowa State leads the series 8-1, with the last meeting between the two coming in January of 2022, with Iowa State winning the dual 26-9.

Keys To Victory:

Iowa State is heavily favored to win the dual. So much so that I don’t see any path to victory for North Dakota State. In fact they will be luck to win a single match. With that said, maybe Iowa State decides to get some of there back up wrestlers a little action.

125 Adrian Meza  vs Tristan Daugherty

133 Evan Frost #6 vs Kyle Burwick

141 Jacob Frost #25 vs Kellyn March

149 Anthony Ecemendia #10 or Carter Fousek vs Gavin Drexler #26

Conclusion: Iowa State runs away with this one, winning all 10 bouts and winning the dual 44-0. However this could very well change a bit if Iowa State decides to wrestle some of their backups. Iowa State will travel to Nashville Tennessee on Saturday, December 21st  to battle Lock Haven.
