We’ll start our day at Longmire, the site of the first park headquarters and designated as a National Historic District. Here we’ll learn about the history of the Mount Rainier area, including early homesteaders, pre-National Park tourism, and the mountain’s time as America’s fifth National Park. Trails around Longmire showcase this long history and include beautiful old growth forest.


We’ll walk amongst giants at the Grove of the Patriarchs. This area contains some of the most spectacular old growth forest along the banks of the Ohanapecosh River. Enjoy A Jet Boat Ride on the Scenic Columbia River

This boat ride is a family fun, energized, guided boating experience on the Columbia River in Wenatchee, WA(about a half hour drive from Leavenworth, WA and an hour from Chelan, WA). Our boat is loud and stylish like a hot rod, but on the water. It’s designed to offer more than your average boat ride by offer drifting turns during the cruise and the occasional amusement ride initiated by the captains hand signal. We will meet at the Wenatchee Riverfront Park Mooring located on the North end of the boat launch parking lot. Please do not park in the designated boat trailer spaces at the boat launch. On busy days, it’s sometimes worth parking at the Pybus Public Market across the street. This activity lasts about 30 minutes and costs $75.00.

The amusement ride is like a roller coaster on the water with right angle fish tale turns and a “Hamilton Spin” finale in which the boat will spin within its own length. Get the best view of the Rocky Reach Dam and capture the moment with a selfie!
